CN Racing Conclude Hectic Spanish Testing

In preparation for the forthcoming 2012 season, CN Racing has completed a hectic Spanish testing schedule on a positive note following three separate tests over the past couple of weeks.

Riders Danny Buchan, Josh Day and Gavin Hunt were aboard the team's 2012 Ten Kate-prepared 1000cc Honda Fireblades which they will use in the 2012 Metzeler National Superstock 1000 whilst Andy Reid, who will contest the Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship, was also in action.

The first three-day test at Cartagena didn't get off to the best of starts for the Hebden Bridge-based team when both Josh Day from Cirencester and Ulsterman Andy Reid crashed heavily which forced both out of the remainder of the trip. Whereas Day's machine was extensively damaged, he was uninjured but Reid suffered a broken leg which is expected to keep him out of action for a couple of months.

After weather interrupted the first test, 18-year-old 2011 Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship runner-up Buchan from Basildon along with 25-year-old Hunt from Braddan on the Isle of Man proved to be in good form and continued their pace into the second of the Cartagena tests prior to arriving at Aragon for the final two-day outing.
There, testing alongside the official Ten Kate World Superbike Championship Team, the British pairing proved to be on lap record pace throughout the two days and left with valuable experience and set-up data for the season ahead.

Dwayne McCracken, Crew Chief: "We achieved what we set out to do and despite the couple of unfortunate setbacks with Josh and Andy, it was a really positive testing schedule for us. Both Danny and Gavin were very impressive, especially at Aragon where we benefited from having some time with the Ten Kate team, and we made some real progress at a track we've never been to before. We have a few more bits we need to sort out at next week's official BSB tests but we are very happy with where we are at presently. Josh's bike needs quite a bit of work doing to it and as for Andy, we are looking at trying to get him back out for Snetterton in late May depending on his progress."
