Pr1mo Bournemouth Kawasaki's Chris Walker topped the final free practice session at Brands Hatch ahead of this afternoon's race on grid-deciding qualifying, as the conditions improved in the closing stages of the session and he was able to edge ahead of Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes.

The session had started in damp conditions and James Hillier, Jenny Tinmouth and the GBmoto Honda of Luke Quigley were the first riders on circuit with Michael Rutter also venturing out on the MSS Bathams Kawasaki. As the time ticked down the conditions improved and in the final eight minutes there was a flurry of activity in the pitlane as several of the riders headed out on to the track.

Quigley, Tinmouth and Hiller had enjoyed a spell at the top of the times but in the closing minutes Brookes put the Tyco Suzuki fastest, with Quattro Plant Kawasaki's Gary Mason moving up to second after completing his first laps of the day. Walker though waited until the final minute for his fastest lap that edged him up to the top of the timesheets from Brookes, Mason and Kawasaki rival Rutter.
