The Swan Yamaha team head north of the border to Knockhill for the fifth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship this weekend as the team aim to repeat their success from last season when Tommy Hill scored a double win.

Hill currently lies just a single point off the championship lead despite missing out in the second race at Snetterton and the defending champion is determined to make amends. Noriyuki Haga will make his debut at the Fife circuit following his recent appearance at the World Endurance Championship event at Qatar and is keen to close in on the top six in the overall standings.

Hill said:

“I am ready to go to Knockhill and hopefully we will get some sunshine as we always get good support from the local fans there. The round was a cracking one for me last year with a double win and hopefully we can have another good run. After missing out in the second race at Snetterton it makes you even hungrier – I wanted to go straight there! We know what we need to do and we are going to come out fighting. We need to try and stay ahead of the game and keep pushing on and hopefully we can be back on the top step of the podium for Swan Yamaha.”

Haga said:

“It will be my first time of going to Knockhill and I know that it is a short track and people tell me the weather can change very quickly. I have been watching the racing from last year on DVD and I am looking forward to get out on the Swan Yamaha there. I don’t have any experience of the track but I am hoping that we can achieve some good results.”
