Monday's Manx Grand Prix schedule postponed

Due to poor weather conditions, which are expected to continue throughout the day, Monday's Manx Grand Prix race schedule has been postponed until Tuesday.

The roads will close on Tuesday at 11.30am with the four lap 350cc/250cc Classic Grand Prix starting at midday and the Junior Manx Grand Prix starting at approximately 2.45pm.

The roads will open again between 5pm and 6pm and will close again at 6pm to allow a one lap practice for each of the two qualifying groups.

It is intended to open the roads again shortly after 7pm.

Manx Grand Prix Clerk of the Course Phil Taubman said:

"The Met Office has advised us that poor conditions are anticipated throughout the day so we have taken the decision as early as possible to minimise disruption for the general public, race officials and the competitors."

"I would appeal to anyone who is able to marshal to turn out tomorrow as it will help us to ensure that the revised schedule runs on time."
