MCUI - 2013 Irish Short Circuit Championship

1. The MCUI Short Circuit commission have agreed that the Irish Superbike Championship and Irish Clubman Championship are amalgamated before the start of 2013 season and have ONE Irish Short Circuit Championship for the foreseeable future.

2. All Classes to have a minimum of 10 point scorers to achieve a Champion/Championship

3. Superbike 5.1 & Supersport 5.2 classes (listed below) will have a Cup Championship, for qualifying graded competitors from timed practice in to the main Superbike & Supersport Races.

4. 2013 Irish Short Circuit Championship Classes
  • 4.1 SuperBike
  • 4.2 Supersport
  • 4.3 Pre Injection, A) Four strokes B) Two strokes(250cc GP)
  • 4.4 650ccSupertwin/Production Twins. 250cc GP may run with 650 depending on entries in pre injection
  • 4.5 Sidecars
  • 4.6 Lightweight (all supersport 400, 450singles,moto3 machines combined) - two championships 450/400 to be know as lightweight and Moto 3 championship one race
  • 4.7 Production 125 & production 250 four stroke twins, Moto3 newcomers.
  • 4.8 Classics all combined classes, 2 championships up to 350 and 351 to 1000
  • 4.9 Forgotten Era / F1

5. Riders in the Superbike and Supersport class will be graded at the end of 2012 into 2 categories, Pro and Cup. Cup riders are not allowed to practice with Pro graded riders. All international (superA) licence holders and the top 20 in the 2012 ISB / Supersport championship, and the top 10 of 2012 Clubmans Supersport championship will be graded as Pro riders while the rest are Cup riders.This grading will be performed at the end of each year. Riders swopping classes will carry their status.

Classes 4.1-4.7 may run at all Ulster Centre events, 4.1- 4.6 will run at all Southern Centre events.

The decision on which classes will run at which rounds will be decided before the end of January.

Entry fees and prize fund are at the discretion of each centre / club.
