The 2013 Eastern Airways British Sidecar Championship will be decided over 20 races at ten events following the inclusion of Donington Park, supporting the European round of the FIM Superbike World Championship on 24-26 May.

The series is becoming recognised internationally as the leading three-wheel championship with the participation of recent world championship level drivers Ben Birchall, Tim Reeves and Jörg Steinhausen and an increasing number of manufacturers, including the re-entry of BMW who dominated the class in the 1950s and 1960s with an unprecedented 19 World Championship titles. The renaissance of the class in the UK has been driven by businessman and competitor Roger Body through his RKB-F1 organisation, latterly in conjunction with MSVR.

MCE BSB Series Director Stuart Higgs said:

"The 2013 Eastern Airways British Sidecar Championship is now the best of its kind, boasting a fantastic calendar of diverse and prestigious circuits and a world class entry. The spectacle of a full grid of F1 Sidecars is unique in motorsport and they are undoubtedly an important part of the visual appeal of our events."
