Samsung Honda's Alex Lowes topped the times in the final free practice after light rain hampered any further fast laps after the first 15 minutes of the session ahead of this afternoon's MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship Datatag Extreme qualifying session.

Many of the riders completed around five laps of the circuit, with Lowes setting the time ahead of Shane 'Shakey' Byrne and Josh Brookes before the conditions changed. The short stint on track meant that many riders had only completed two flying laps before returning to the garage with Lloyds British GBmoto Honda's Peter Hickman fourth ahead of Danny Buchan in fifth.

Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki's Keith Farmer was sixth fastest ahead of Howie Mainwaring and Chris Walker who crashed out unhurt at Club in the opening ten minutes of the session. Martin Jessopp and Jakub Smrz completed the top ten.
