Contrary to reports on various Social Media Sites the use of “On Board Cameras” has not been banned at Road and Short Circuit Races.

However they must be provided by approved operators who must be able to show that they have Public Liability Insurance Cover of a minimum of £2,000,000.00 which has now been agreed after discussion with our Insurers.

Only competitors authorisedby the Clerk of the Course will be permitted to film from on board cameras. Applications must be made in writing to him.

Where such approval is granted the installation of the camera and associated equipment, which may only be fitted to the motorcycle, is further subject to the approval of the Chief Scrutineer.

No helmet cameras will be permitted.
