Fairing-bashing, elbows rubbing and inches between them; the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship returns to the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit as the stage is set for another epic clash between the leading contenders as Alastair Seeley arrives leading the standings.

Seeley has been part of some of the most exhilarating Supersport showdowns on the 2.43-mile Grand Prix circuit and holds a 40 point advantage over Scot Stuart Easton ahead of the two races on Sunday. Martrain Yamaha's Easton will be pushing hard to close the deficit after a challenging weekend at Snetterton, but has the knowledge that he has already been victorious in Kent after winning the season opening race on the Indy circuit layout.

Seeley said: "We have had some good races on the Grand Prix circuit in the past and with all of us really wanting those wins I expect this weekend to be no different. I expect some more battles between myself, Ben, Stuart and also the likes of Billy and Glen Richards too. It would be nice to do another double as this is one of my stronger circuits and I want to keep that ball rolling."

The second Gearlink Kawasaki of Ben Wilson is also closing in at the top with a double win at Knockhill and a double podium finish at Snetterton the Boston based rider is on a mission to finish ahead of his team-mate. The pair have been inseparable before on the Grand Prix circuit when fighting for the championship title and are sure to lock horns again this weekend.

The title-winning Smiths Racing Triumph team will be hoping to uphold Australian honour as Billy McConnell and Glen Richards will be pushing for their first wins of the season and Seton Tuning Yamaha's Graeme Gowland, Glenn Irwin and Jason O'Halloran will all be in the hunt as the title chase reaches Kent.

The next round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship takes place at Brands Hatch 19-21 July.
