Derek Sheils and Jamie Hamilton have taken race wins at the Mid Antrim 150.

Dubliner Sheils took a comfortable win in the Open race on his CD Racing Kawasaki, with Ballyclare man Hamilton second and Seamus Elliott third.

Hamilton secured his first-ever success in the Supersport 600 class by 2.5 seconds from Ballymoney rider Elliott, who set a new lap record at 108.32mph.

Paul Robinson won the 125cc race, Michael Sweeney took the 250cc victory and Hamilton the Supertwins win.

Robinson took his 125cc victory from Sam Dunlop and Nigel Moore after early leader Sam Wilson retired.

Hamilton set a new class best of 102.90mph in the Supertwins and was crowned the new Irish champion after retaining his unbeaten record in that category on the national roads this season.

William Davison and Nigel Moore occupied the remaining rostrum positions.

Skerries rider Sweeney edged out Davy Morgan in the 250s, with Sam Dunlop third and Paul Robinson fourth. Elliott retired.

The Supersport victory saw KMR Kawasaki pilot Hamilton move to the top of the Irish championship standings.

Wilson was third in the 600, with Michael Sweeney, Sheils and William Davison completing the top six.

Yamaha rider Elliott broke Ryan Farquhar's six-year-old lap record in claiming the runner-up spot.

The race started without front-row qualifier, Mullingar's Derek McGee, who came off at Clough Hairpin in the Open race.

Sweeney, Davy Morgan and William Davison made up the top six leaderboard in that event.

Mark Hanna completed a double in the Senior and Junior Support races over the 3.6-mile Clough circuit.
