It's Day One for TT 2014 and unfortunately the weather forecast for tonights First Practice is not exactly brilliant.

Prior to the TT First Practice taking place, the Billown Pre- TT Meeting kicks off at 12:15 down in Castletown,
with the roads closing at that meeting, no later than 16:15hrs.

The schedule for tonights Practice is as follows:

18:20 hrs - 18:45 hrs Solo Newcomers’ speed controlled lap
18:35 hrs - 19:00 hrs Sidecar Newcomers’ speed controlled lap
18:50 hrs - 19:50 hrs Lightweight TT / Newcomers (all solo classes)
19:55 hrs - 20:50 hrs Sidecar

Staying dry this morning with bright or sunny intervals then later this afternoon thickening cloud will bring outbreaks of rain which may become more persistent at times this evening. Maximum temperature 16°C with brisk northeast winds.

The rain will gradually ease tonight with drier and clearer periods developing.

Tonights TT practice and qualifying session has been cancelled due to the bad weather.

An announcementto this effect was made by the The Clerk of the Course at 18.20.

Qualifying and speed controlled laps for newcomers will now take place on Monday night from 18.20.
