Clerk of TT Course makes a statement
Clerk of the Course received a report from Marshals regarding the involvement of Jim Moodie
The Clerk of the Course at this year's TT festival, Neil Hanson, has confirmed to Manx Radio that he did receive a report from Marshals regarding the involvement of Jim Moodie in the aftermath of Dave Jefferies' fatal crash at Crosby during the Thursday afternoon practice session.

The Scottish rider suffered injuries to his neck caused by wires from an already downed telegraph pole in the incident.

Mr Hanson says that due to the impending inquest, he was unable to obtain authorisation from the Coroner, which would have enabled him to use the necessary evidence to take any action against Jim Moodie, arising from the incident, until it would have been too late to do so.

Coroner, Michael Moyle, was critical of Jim Moodie at yesterday's inquest into the death of Dave Jefferies, he made several references to his involvement including "he appears to have ignored it" when refering to a waved yellow flag, and "Moodie may well have been the author of his own misfortune".

Meanwhile, Tourism Minister David Cretney says the actions of marshals and riders at the scene of the Dave Jeffries crash at Crosby acted with courage and bravery.
