Race winner Easton eager for Knockhill homecoming

Stuart Easton is gearing up for his home round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship next weekend (3/4/5 July) and the PBM Kawasaki rider is aiming for a repeat of his podium finish from last season at Knockhill.

Easton was victorious at Oulton Park, following on from his podium finish at the opening round of the season at Donington Park. Now with Knockhill rapidly approaching the flying Scot is determined to gain ground on the top three in the overall standings.

Easton said:

"I am feeling really good and comfortable with the PBM Kawasaki; I never ever say that I am super confident, because that isn't me, but I definitely feel happy with where we are at the moment. We have had podiums and a win so far and even the dreaded Snetterton that has never been that good to me, I came away with two top tens and that consolidated my position in the top six for now and I am closer to third and further way from seventh.

"I was really glad to come away stronger and it gives me confidence for my home race now, which is always a big event for me. You always want to give that little bit extra at your home round; you always give everything you can, but you want to find that extra one percent and I want to be fighting for the podium again.

"At the end of last season we were pushing in the top five and since then it hasn't been perfect at every round but we have definitely been in the mix. We keep moving forward, but so does everyone else, but my confidence is growing all the time and the jigsaw is coming together. We were on the podium at Knockhill last year so I really would like that to happen again!"
