After a three week Summer break, the MotoGP teams were back on track today in sunny Indianapolis, USA.

It was positive first session for Repsol Honda riders, Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, as they reacquainted themselves with their bikes and this tricky, twisty 4.1km circuit. Marc finished the session in second place, just 0.093s off Lorenzo, with a time of 1’33.747 on lap 16 of 19. Dani finished fourth with his time of 1’34.050 on lap 5 of 17.

FP2 will take place this afternoon at 14h05 local time.

Marc Marquez - 2nd 1'33.747

"After the holidays and some time off the bike it’s important to come back and immediately be at a good level from the start. Dani Pedrosa - 4th 1'34.050

"It’s good to be back on the bike and I’m happy with this first session. The track was a little tricky with the grip level which is normal for FP1 but usually get’s better as the weekend progresses and the tyres begin to work better, so it’s difficult to judge the level at the moment."
