Family, friends and colleagues of Dwight Beare at the park named after the sidecar racer at Cronk Cullyn.

A sidecar racer who died during this year's TT has had a bench and park named after him on a housing development that he worked on.

Australian Dwight Beare, who lived in Onchan, was killed in a crash at Rhencullen on the opening lap of the first sidecar race in June.

The 27-year-old worked as a joiner when not racing, including on Harmony Homes' Cronk Cullyn development in Colby.

A park in the estate has been named "Dwight's Park", while a memorial bench has also been installed in his honour.
