Just been reminded of a day at Monza in 1973 when a top TT rider and a Champion of the era came off on oil and unfortunately succumbed to injuries.

I have just been researching the 250 and 350 Benellis and 7th May 1973 was the day of this accident!

Unfortunately this website has of late been filled with dedications to those who have given ALL to their chosen sport.....................

No Ian, the exact date of the fatal accident at Monza's Curva Grande - first lap of the 250cc race - is 20 may, not 7.

Thanks for the reminder. Was it really 31 yeras ago? I was ahuge Paso fan and loved his exciting riding style! Who remembers that wonderful Huthchinson 100 poster with him on? Looking back.
