Were we aware that the Hailwood Centre in the Paddock is twenty years old ?
Officially opened by Pauline on 27th May 1984, this center has had a variety of uses over the years, some not particularly reverant to the great man.....

It is now a rest-room and sandwich stall during the TT........

The Mike Hailwood Foundation is a registered Charity and the Centre has been fully refurbished over the past few years incurring various costs that are not identified by the public i.e Security systems Fire alarms etc. During the TT the Centre is a meeting place for many of our riders and their friends, we also make available rooms for the Physios to attend to the riders. The Committee also spend considerable time attracting potential new riders to the island and at least a newcomer introduced by the foundation has had tuition from experienced riders and undertaken several laps before they even enter the TT or MGP. Every winter in excess of 40 riders from all over Europe visit the island as guests fo the Foundation.
