The Isle of Man is rightly famous for the Mountain Course races (and the S100). Strangely though it's not so famous for its natural beauty which it has in spades. My introduction to the Island's beauty was reinforced by twice taking part in the IoM Scooter Rally back in the 70's which included enduros of 100 and 200 miles in length. Those enduros included a lot of off and on-road work and one of those routes took us around the Niarbyl area. It is a stunning place, particularly at sunset on a clear day.
