Peter Hickman Protests
I read something a bit cryptic about teams protesting Hickmans superstock wins.  Anyone know any details?  An ear piece was mentioned!

There's a bit in MCN this week. It doesn't look from that like it came to anything and Peter thinks it's quite amusing.

I spoke to a couple of MD fans after he broke down and Hicky won. They sat and turned their backs on the racing and said Hicky should not have been allowed to race.
I sensed they were very annoyed and I mentioned MD would not have won the race anyway because he broke down. They were very angry with the officials.

Shouldn't imagine Uncle Joey would be very enamored with his nephew's lack of sportsmanship.

Surely it was for the Supertwin race?
I haven't read anything anywhere, so I genuinely don't know what's occurring!

be interested to know the truth rather than rumour
but as said any protest normally needs a fee paid first
think its £500 in speedway returned if protest proved right by poster

I'm assuming this related to the fact that Hicky hadn't qualified the super twin.  Turning your back on the racing = cutting your nose off to spite your face.

All this unsporting nonsense from the fans is really disappointing.

Pin money for the bigger teams.  I had a look at the MCN website and couldn't find any details.

I'm guessing that the implication is that Hickman was receiving constant updates (via ear piece) throughout the race - rather than relying on pit boards?

Exactly the reason they gave. Michael broke down anyway so he didn't finish. Lets not go down the road of other sports.

to be honest the speed on that superstock bike im not really surprised some might question how stock it actually was
the speed in that race was outstanding regardless of stock or full blown superbike or hybrid even
the lap was fantastic

Not sure if this is first year but the Supersport and Superstock were using slicks .... the common chat seems to be that unless the Superbike is riding/performing 100%+ in every dept then the 2023 Stockers will be as quick.
