Thought - with all this plastic paint round the circuit, shouldn't the slightest hint of damp lead our scaredofhisownshadow Clerk of the Course to immediately abandon racing/practice for the day??

Somebody has to protect the c**p drivers from themselves.Unfortunately it is not usually the local Manx drivers.

Sounds like its the drivers that need educating (as per usual) not the road that needs changing, after all, these corners dont jump out in front of you, theyve always been there !!!!

Good God Larry, how on earth did we manage in the good old days when the races were run in wind, rain and fog and there was no such thing as" wet" tyres, you just "rode to the conditions". Of course nowadays if anything happened someone would say " you shouldnt have started it in those conditions" and there'd be lawsuits against all and sundry. Just think, one year I very nearly got a rep in the the Ltwt MGP on the slowest bike in the race (180 Honda)BECAUSE it was pouring down with rain. LOL

I am afraid it is the same old story,it is not the roads which are dangerous, but the drivers who use them.Time the authorities woke up to this fact and acted upon it.Why not make the driving test far tougher,with night time driving/riding,winter conditions,etc., to contend with? No harm in that is there? Wake up authorities

A scary sight is watching all the Richard Head's going to work at 8.45 am in their company cars on the Mountain Road, most corners need a permanent yellow flag!
Be glad when the finance sector finally creeps away in the night and the Island realises all it has to offer is its heritage, which includes the races.

At the current tax rates you are going to have a job to get rid of them.
