Steve Hislop and Jimmy Guthrie TT kings from Hawick
Don't miss this if you can get it on your radio or your computer. Unfortunately I don't think it will be available on the "play again" facility.
Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk, and follow the steps to Radio Scotland.

Speed Kings of Hawick 17.05 on BBC Radio Scotland
For rights reasons, Speed Kings of Hawick is not available on demand.
The Isle of Man TT is one of the most challenging motorcycling races in the world. Two Hawick bikers separated by over fifty years became legends at the event. Jimmy Guthrie and Steve Hislop were the speed kings of Hawick.

The BBC link didn't work Helen, I think there's possibly a comma included in the link causing the problem.

Thanks for the heads up it definitely sounds worth listening to, details (I think) can be found on this link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/radioscotl...l?features

By the way, I visited the Steve Hislop memorial for the first time when I was on the Island this year & I thought it was "spot on" & in a fabulous location overlooking Douglas Bay.

A very fitting memorial to a great man ! Smile

Thanks
Thanks for pointing this out. A most interesting programme.

It's nice to have you back on the Forum - there was definitely something missing while you were at the TT.

You'll never believe this...I missed it! A colleague rang with some urgent questions and by the time she rang off I got the last 30 seconds. I hope it is repeated soon.
