Just before my time but all so recognisable since there apparently was not a lot of change when I made Island-fall in 1947.

but I cannot help wondering how many of the happy holidaymakers - and Islanders - shown managed to survive the horrors that were to come in the next few years.....
On a lighter note, is that not Edger Jessop in a flowery dress on the beach at about 3mins 5secs in? And who is the attractive but maybe butch girl in the trousers with him?
