The World's Fastest Indian
I've been lucky enough just to have returned from sunning myself on holiday where one evening I came accross a DVD in the property I was staying called "The World's Fastest Indian".

A true story apparantly (with a fair bit of poetic licence I suspect) loosely based on the exploits of one Burt Munro & his Indian Motorcycle who was also quote:

"a member of the Indian team in the 1911 Isle of Man TT, gaining second place behind Oliver Godfrey, and in front of Arthur Moorhouse, both also Indian mounted, in the historic first 1-2-3 by the same make."

There's no TT reference in the film though as it concentrates on his attempt to set a new land speed record but nonetheless I enjoyed it & I thought others here who aren't looking for anything too factual but may be looking for a motorcycle based DVD to rent one evening, might also enjoy it? Big Grin

For anyone interested, a bit about the man & his machine here:

And the film here:

According to Harry Ruffell, the maker of the Britten film, who knew Bert Munro, the film was pretty true to his character; a super film. One hopes it will be on view during TT 2007.

Got to agree with Jan....definately a feel good movie for the whole family.

A good story, well acted and enough to interest us biker guys. I've watched half a dozen times.
