Does anybody remember the figures that where being quoted for internet viewers for the NW 200 by any chance?
Just wondering what sort of money it could bring in!!

Oh, Gawd, I am beginning to sound like the voice of reason here. The BBC coverage was not free, as we've paid for it through our TV licences... well, I have anyway, dunno about you...
Last year there were loads of complaints about the live streaming being unreliable, slow, patchy etc. If RadioTT are using the income to boost that, seems OK to me. Manx Radio is not the BBC. Their resources are infinitely less.
Anyone else agree?

I agree Helen.
...and thats not creeping!
Its inevitable that good new services like radio on the net get used a lot.
Used a lot means band width and similar problems.
Coping with the botlenecks cost money eventually.
...and yes, we all pay for the North West through our locence fee.

There are more obvious ripoffs to address and moan about!

Because as I read it you're getting the online radio feed as part of the whole package (speed traps, lap times, ability to follow up to 3 racers per race, things like that).

The Manx government partly funds Manx Radio with the remainder coming from advertising - this is no doubt why you'll be able to hear the commentary on 1368AM as normal, as long as you can pick it up on your radio Big Grin
