Another really nice guy who has been taken from his family and his fans.

Another motorsport participant who has died outside his sport similarly to Steve, Joey and SMBH (and others).

Our condolences to his lovely wife, his Dad and the rest of the McRaes.

Very sad.

We also wish to remember the pilot of the Hurricane which crashed fatally at Shoreham....

A lot of heartbroken people in Scotland,Ian. Can't believe that lightning has struck twice and taken two of our finest sportsmen, and good people. Colin would be distraught that he is the involuntary cause of so much devastation to his own and other families. Many, many people are too stunned even to take it in. How could this happen.
Even Valentino Rossi is lost for words to express our loss.
My heart goes out to Alison and to the other families.

A tragic, tragic loss for Scottish motorsport his friends and fans but so much more so, for his family and the other families affected by yesterdays accident.

However on watching F1 and Moto GP today, the ripples of sadness show just how much the tragic news has effected motorsport worldwide.

Another Scottish hero lost far too soon.

In a bizarre coincidence, Colin's former boss at Subaru crashed his helicopter this afternoon. Both he and his wife were unhurt.

It's crazy, isn't. Racers losing their lives in sometimes freak circumstances.. Colin was a hero of mine and very popular with Australians. My heart goes out to his family and all of you devoted friends and fans.

Colin
I find it hard to believe that after a racing career such as Colin had and
Steve Hislop they lose their lives in such away.

I would like to say they gave me pleasure watching them in their respective sports.

We had a minutes silence for Colin before we started our trial yesterday Colin had ridden in trials before rallying.
