Xmas Presents and New Year Honours
Among my fine collection of presents on Xmas Day from family and friends was the "Island of Speed" DVD of the 1952 Senior TT at which I am pleased to say I was present at the time.

In colour, it is a great representaion of the TT in those days and while Norton was all-powerful it was interesting to see close ups of the Earles forked MV ridden by Les Graham, and AJSs and Triumphs, BSAs and Vincents. Not a Jap bike in sight.

It sad however to realise that Les was to lose his life riding a similar MV in 1953 !

Obtained by my Mrs from Amulree in double quick time, I add it to all my other 2007 TT DVDs plus the Worlds Fastest Indian..Thanks everybody ...

On another note, I congratulate Mr Geddes of the IOM who is in this years Honours List..........

But after reading every name in the paper, I find there is no mention of John McGuinness, James Toseland or any other representative of two-wheeled sport.

THIS HAS TO CHANGE !!!

Who would you have put forward for New Year Honours ??

Dame Helen Gibson ??

To all of you, Happy New Year, and I hope to see you in 2008 !

I think not! She wouldn't thank you for it!
How about Roger Hurst MBE/OBE, whatever?
