100 years and still going strong
Congratulations from all at TTwebsite to Jackie McCredie, 100 years old today. Jackie's best TT finish was a 6th in 1948 on his trusty Excelsior.
Although he's living in a care home now, Jackie is still active and happy. Motorbikes are still his passion he says in a recent arcticle.
Just think... he was already 73, still working in his Edinburgh bike shop, when Bryan Campbell, today's other birthday boy was born (just a short distrance from that shop!)
The staff in the home think the world of their motorcycling hero. It's a really nice place, and I imagine there will be some piano playing, singing and general partying today!
I hope you have a great day, Jackie, and enjoy your telegram from the Queen, visit from the Provost and the excellent birthday cake!
