Spoke to Conor, he said it was absolute chaos! These guys need to be absolutely focussed before setting off not subject to some sort of media barrage resulting in them not getting to the line in time. Basically it went t*ts up big style and I hope ACU Events have learnt from it. For what is meant to be a number one event, it was laughable that this could have happened, and what amuses me more is that nobody from ACU has the test tickles to make a statement about it.

You could here the panic in the voice of the commentators as the start was nearing !
Heaven knows what the riders felt.
Heard John interviewed saying he had approx 30 secs to get his gloves on and he was off !
Deffo not to be recommended for future races..

The ACU events CO should be takin to Court and sued for putting riders lives at risk, SIMPLE, they are god dam useless, and the Isle of man TT board needs to step in and Gaurantee this will not happen again- I would be in prison on the Isle of man NOW, if I was one that was offected by that situation, and you know i WOULD BE, THIS IS NOT EVEN A JOKE, IT IS SO STUPID.

All stop running for cover, and put ya hands up and accept your responsibilities

O, thats write, NO 6 race meetings, means as a racer there of 15 years, I AM UNSAFE, Better shut up then I guess as I have NO idea what I am talking about as perBonk

Well said Shaun.

Seems to me that the ACU want things to be like a MotoGP grid prior to the start with loads of celebs and media wandering around there making a nuisance of themselves but as has been established since the late 70's, the TT is a different kind of race altogether.

A load of Nobs!!
Get on with it or shut up about it!

Although it was a job to hear with the noise, as a spectator I thought I could hear the officials frantically shouting 30seconds, and waving frantically in the direction of the 'dummy' grid to attract the attention of the riders. The riders seemed to be looking at a sign, I have no idea what was wrote on this signboard.

Have to agree Jack Woods was the best ever COC, any probs see Jack and he always tried to help anf fight your corner, as soon as Jack retired the riders got treated like excrement.

Did anyone notice the Chap in the Taz pit taking picture of the lads on a mobile phone, (on ITV4), also the Tall Lady, long flowery dress walking about Park ferme with a fag lit (who was she)

And what the Hell was Nelson doing selling POP CORN in pit lane, cant be that hard up can he

Shaun as C.O.C, Garry D as his assistant, FC as the PR manager ;-)
I tell you what it'll never happen but by god if it did the only complaints flying around on the internet would be from ACU type nobs who couldn't get a word in to c**k the job up.
GAME ON!!!!!!!!

On a serious note, when I watched the race last night on ITV4 and even though I like to see the old ways maintained as much as possible, I did think the new dummy grid looked good, it would have course looked better if it had been organised better!!!
As for sending riders out flustered like that and whilst I'm sure this was a teething problem, I do 100% agree with Shaun that somebody somewhere wants their rear appendage 'attending to' with a prize winning leek!!!! As a former MGP and TT rider I used to get stressed and focussed as much as possible and that sort of cock up would have done my head in and I wasn't riding anywhere near as quickly as these riders.
