Senior Race Update - 14:20
For the final day of the 2008 Manx Grand Prix, the weather was once again against the organisers and riders as mist on the Mountain caused the scheduled start time for the Senior Manx Grand Prix to be postponed.

The 'blue-riband' event of the meeting was scheduled to start at 10.15 am but moved forward a nuber of times until 1.45 pm over a three lap distance.

The start list had been depleted a little as some riders had to withdraw due to their sailings back to the UK and circumstances back home regarding work etc., whilst others were able to change their bookings and remain on the Island and compete in the race.

Simon Fulton and Philip McGurk got the race underway, followed by fastest in practice, James McCullagh and Alan Jackson.

After the first 28 numbers had left the start line the red flag came out, after rider 29's engine blew as he left the line and deposited oil on the course from the footbridge to the top of Bray Hill.

Riders out on the course will be stopped at Kirk Michael and escorted back to the finish line. The oil slick stretches from the centre of the Grandstand to Ago's Leap.

The race will be restarted as a two-lap event and it is hoped that the start will be 2.45pm.
Be right back. I am going to go find myself, and if I leave before I get back, make sure to tell me !! -
