You've just reminded me that I've got to get to Reading in January for a few days - a course from work.

What's the best way to get there from the Island, bearing in mind the weather in January? I certainly don't fancy driving from/to Heysham and risking the boat being delayed or cancelled, especially as I'm only there for a couple of days anyway.

I'm thinking of flying to Gatwick and then getting the train, but if you've any better suggestions, I'm all ears....

Regards,

B

RE: I Love life
Now lets not get into beer snobbery!
Fortunately there are plenty of good brews to go round
I am a huge Bushys fan of course
But I dont subscribe to "Northern is best" and that applies to fish and chips too!
Salsibury is one of my favourite places!!
I like to think I live in "Outer Salisbury" rather than Andover
Though we have some good real ale pubs around here, too
Yes, a meet fro a pint is a great idea
Obviously one of us will have to drive and I am prepared to make the sacrifice and come
to you.... the FIRST time!
Now maybe Pamela will drive us when her achilles tendon recovers
Lets get it on

That sounds good. Monday is a good day for the Wyndham arms in Salisbury it's £2.00 a pint night but I can do most nights really.

Yeah Mike I know Stonehenge as well. When I lived in Christchurch I got a bus out to Avesbury and had to walk from there for miles up this bloody great hill. When I got there all I found was a great heap of stones. No Druids no naked pagan rites, nothing. Very disappointing, but there was those Constable skies.
