East Fortune Scottish Championships .... Bikes stolen !
Apologies to the Melville Club for the headline as this was a cracking weekend, great weather and great racing.
Charity fundraising with the mini moto kids endurance race on the saturday evening which raised approx £5000 towards CHAS the Childrens hospice association.
Clerk of course David Paton Senior and and chief marshall Bob Davies had beards shaved off
Sidecar passenger rides for the marshalls at lunchtime today as a thankyou for all their great work over the season.
A trully impressive 20 lap Steve Hislop Memorial race, won once again by Torquil Patterson.
However .......
Between the hours of 3am and 4am this morning two bikes were stolen, plus wheels and generator amounting to £28,000 !
In over 30 yrs racing at East Fortune no bikes have ever been stolen.
Sadly one of the bikes stolen belongs to a close friend of ours who helps Bryan and Grant whenever possible.
He has just returned from racing at the Manx, and is shattered as clearly this is the end of his racing.
