Simoncellis funeral to be held on Thursday in Coriano - Oct 26 2011

The three times world champion from Maidstone in Kent dominated the action throughout qualifying on Saturday, unofficially smashed the lap record of 1m 09.04s that he set in last year’s race, with a time of 1m 08.69s and then clinched pole position in Sunday’s final session going on to take a decisive victory in each of the two championship races – the first in dry conditions and the second in torrential rain.
