I am struggling to find any information about camping on Sulby Claddagh for the TT period. I have sent an email to the address used for previous years permits but haven’t had a response. I just wondered if anyone had heard anything and could enlighten me please.

Thought I'd contribute a little light heartedness to this section!
Whilst browsing through some TT first day covers for sale I noticed a "Yamaha 50th anniversary" one from 2005,
so I had a quick "Google" to see if they had anything lined up in way of celebration of 70 years this year, TT in particular.
First thing I came across was an announcement that they've changed the logo, for the first time in 27 years!
I must admit that it doesn't look much different to me, apart from the red bits have gone white & vice versa!
Then I stumbled across this webpage, on the Yamaha site, if you have a few minutes that you don't mind losing forever!

One thing I did wonder, how much factory support did Peter Hickman get?
i only ask because I went into their merchandise tent a few years ago, to buy a Trooper T shirt, but noticed it didn't mention Triumph on it!
When I asked about it they said, words to the effect, that Triumph didn't help out so they wouldn't put the marque on the merchandise!

An important message to those who are attending the TT/Manx Grand Prix

With the 2025 TT now only 4 months away, I thought I'd post this information (again!)

If you are planning to go to the Isle of Man riding motorcycles/mopeds (or any other vehicle) on L plates using a provisional licence:

A UK PROVISIONAL LICENCE IS NOT VALID IN THE ISLE OF MAN (also applies to provisional licences from other countries)

You are NOT LICENSED and therefore NOT INSURED to ride/drive there

If this affects you, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you do have just over 16 weeks to pass your test ....

Basically it says: Holders of a provisional driving licence or permit issued outside the Isle of Man cannot drive on the Island. You will need to apply for a Manx issued provisional driving licence in order to learn how to drive here.
