Well, well, well-----it's about time too. This week in Bike Sport News it looks as though they are taking more of a political view on things. Check out page 47 TT gossip, especially on the production race. And page 46 at the end of the 600 production race report ..interesting.

Many of you will know Jim Silver, sidecar driver from Aberdeenshire. His mother, Alice, rang me this afternoon to tell me that Jim was killed last night in an incident in Ballyclare, N.Ireland, near where he has been living. I understand from a news report that someone is in custody.
I would imagine it will be some time before funeral arrangements can be made, but if anyone wants to know about these, please contact me.

David is a contributor to this site and today
he completed in the annual Isle of Man Parish
Walk.
The walk itself continues for 85miles and some competitors chose to complete 32.5 miles
from Douglas to Peel. David completed the Peel
course in 6hours 10minutes and finished an
excellent 6th position!
Well Done I knew you'd do it!

Just heard last night of the sudden death of 4 times world champion the Italian Walter Villa. I met him last year in Italy and as ever he was a very quiet, shy man but a perfect gentleman. Afriend of mine spoke to him at Misano 2 weeks ago.Although retired many years from top racing he was still actively in the sport as a rider and top engine builder. I stand to be corrected but although he never raced the TT he did actually visit the island if my memory serves me right.
He also raced and won on many pure road circuits all over Europe & along with his brother built the very fast & successfull 125 & 250 Villa racing machines. He was 58
