Is there any way of knowing the definitive figure of how many people came over for this year's TT?
There seems to be an awful lot of contradictory information floating around.

2 years ago i was laid in Nobles, high on morphene, not really knowing what was going on (ohh yes, and minus a leg!)
Well, things have progressed nicely. On Thursday i rode my Aprilia RSV Mille at Donington during a trackday.
I asked one of the instructors to follow me to give me a few tips on holding the correct line, but i felt fine and actually lost him after 3 laps. He came in after the session and said "You're taking the 'pee', saying your disabled then leaving me for dead!" Nice one!
I managed to lap within a few of seconds of my race times (in my Supermono days), which i was pleased with.
Next week i collect my "Racing Leg" from the Luton & Dunstable Limb Fitting Centre, resplendant in its chequered flag material, exposed annodised shaft and movable ankle - look out for me proudly wearing in around the Manx GP paddock later this year.
I am awaiting a date from the ACU to do a couple of demo laps on mu Mille to prove i can ride a bike, then they'll grant me my race licence, although i may not use it for a while as i am due to have my right (whole) leg broken in September (straight after the MGP) and set in an external frame for 9 months. BUT, just getting the licence and cutting through any red tape is the main goal, then i can simply renew it each year until i'm 'fully' fit again. I have not ruled out a IOM return, but thats for the future.
A few peole have asked how my wife Carol feels about all this. Lets just say, she paid for yesterdays trackday as a birthday present for me! Nuff said!
Rgds

Well if it ever stops raining racing returns to Knockhill this weekend. Races including Regal 600, Sports Production and Aprilia 250`s always make for full grids and close racing. Racing starts on sunday @12.30pm. See you there ?
cheers Stella.

Unfortunately not being at the TT this year was a very sad. One, knowing that, without question it is the best place in the world for motor cycle racing enthusiasts. But, as a spectator from Australia for several times, feel a deep sadness without Joey.
I wish support for all my friends I have met there, and for for all those competitors and crews that, without their dedication, would not have make the Island what it has become today.
My love for the place,is for live. Life is for the 'Isle of Man & to the rememberance of Joey'

A sneaky worm is making its way across the globe, hijacking mailboxes as it goes.
The Frethem worm, which reportedly started in Africa, has been spotted in the wild in Europe today. Antivirus firms were aware of the worm a number of days ago, so users with updated virus protection should be safe.
The worm attempts to use social engineering to catch its victims out, arriving as an email attachment.
A typical email will have the subject "your password" and body text along the lines of: "Attention. You can access very important information by this password. Do not save password to disk, use your mind. Now press cancel."
Presumably this is an attempt to trick users into to picking the 'open file' option rather than the 'save to disk' option when they double click the attached decrpyt-password.exe.
Once executed the worm forwards itself by email, using addresses found in the Outlook Express address book and any .dbx mail files.
It is also possible for the worm to infect users viewing the message through the Outlook Express preview panel.
Antivirus firm Central Command also warned that more World Cup viruses are expected to hit this month.
BWG, which spreads via email and IRC, has already been spotted in the last few days. The security firm warned users to be wary of opening World Cup related email attachments.

Could anyone explain the point in having the so called street party? as far as i can see its only an excuse for some off the local yobs to kick off as was proved this year. Surely the money could have been better spent on improving the Paddock Hotel and looking after the riders after all they come here to entertain us not the clowns on the prom.
