Newry-based Crossan Motorcycles, famous for their involvement with the late great Robert Dunlop, have announced their team line-up for the 2013 season, which will see them support border counties riders Wayne Kirwan and Joe Loughlin.

The new team will compete on the national and international road racing scene as well as making a long awaited return to local short circuit championships after a 20 year sabbatical.

Team owner and Managing Director at Crossan Motorcycles, Adrian Fegan, said: "I was the last man to compete on a Crossan machine at a short circuit back in 1997. Since then the effort has been switched purely to road racing, with some legendary names like Robert and Michael Dunlop, Ian Duffus and Ian Lougher."

Louth man Kirwan, who is the current Manx Grand Prix Supersport champion, will spearhead the Crossan Racing effort on the roads for Fegan.

Joining him in the distinctive yellow and red Crossan livery will be 19-year-old youngster Joe Loughlin from Castleblaney who will concentrate on the tarmac scene.

Loughlin won the Irish 400cc Clubmans' title back in 2010 as a fresh-faced 17-year-old, impressively taking 13 wins en-route to the title. Last season he finished third in the 600cc Clubmans' series.

This season Loughlin will concentrate his efforts on the Adelaide Masters' series on a Crossan backed R6 Yamaha. He will also take in selected Thundersport rounds in GB.

Kirwan, who is something of a road racing specialist will campaign Crossan machinery on the national scene this term.
