Billown Pre TT Classic Meeting - Monday 29th
The weather here today is pretty bad, with rain, rain and more rain, although the forecast states that it should brighten up as the morning progresses.

The roads have closed at 09:15 and with a bit of luck there may well be a full race card, starting with:-

Lightweight Classic at 09:30
Senior Classic at 10:25
Sidecar Classic at 11:20

Break for lunch

Senior/Junior Support Classic at 13:10
Junior Classic at 14:05
Post Classic Superbike/850cc Classic at 15:00

Standing in the middle of the road is very dangerous; you get knocked down by traffic from both sides.

Unconfirmed report is that Roy Richardson and Bill Swallow had a coming together at Iron Gate in the Senior Classic. Roy is a bit battered and bruised and unfortunately it is reported that Bill has a broken femur.

When we arrived in that little car park at the start and it was pouring, I thought I had done the wrong thing!
But what a great day!
The only down side was the injury to Bill Swallow.
Mind you, for me, seeing such a wonderful mix of bikes made me realise how boring the bikes have become at the TT.
I heard a commentator say that the Superstocks are largely production based. Wrong! They ALL are!
Anyway, its wonderful to be here!!
Looking forward to seeing the gang tomorrow

Pre TT Classic Postscipt
I was informed last night that Alec Whitwell had a "spill" at Cross Fourways in the last race of the day, and sustained injuries that include 4 broken ribs, broken r/h collarbone and r/h shoulder.

Get well soon Alec and hope that this doesn't keep you out of the saddle too long.

Malcolm.
