Dr Joe Ehrlich
Just heard of the passing of Dr Joe. His first racers, the EMC-Puch, were never outstanding, but provided early post-war racers with a lightweight machinery.
In the early 60s his EMCs were a thorn in the side of the mighty Honda, ridden by Mike the Bike, Derek Minter, Rex Avery, Paddy Driver, Tony Godfrey and others.
In latter years, the Rotax-powered EMC and Waddon-EMC was to provide him with three TT wins, the Junior (250) races of 1982 to 1983, ridden by Con Law, and the 1984 race, ridden by Graeme McGregor.
