I believe that in the seventies they had up to six ships in service, so i would say they were most likely transporting more people over then than now. The Mike Hailwood return was definitely the busiest i have ever seen it, i was once told that when he won the island sunk two inches into the sea with all the people jumping up and down.Icon_lol
