I too remember Bill the stalwart Nantwich Club secretary when I first started road racing. There were three of us 'lads' who used to work also at Foden in Sandbach and he used to chivy us on to get our entries in for the Oulton Park meetings, no favouritism, just get your entries to me NOW. Always encouraging us to enter meetings further afield to enable us to get our National Licence and me to race in the Isle of Man.
I can also remember one particular 'wild' Club Christmas Dinner attended by one Barry Sheen and his Dad, what a night!
