Help needed with car rental/transportation
Hi all.  Here to ask for help with finding transportation for our visit.  It's 3 of us, arriving on the 3rd and leaving on the 7th.  Staying in Andreas.  After painfully sorting out accommodation, 4 flights, 2 ferries and a train ride over Ireland and England, we struck out on a car rental.  Perhaps, the public transport will suffice and we will have to make do with that (feel free to leave me a note on how that will work), but we would prefer to have wheels somehow.  Maybe someone is willing to rent us their personal vehicle for those days, but we would be perfectly fine with someone, for a fee of course, being our driver and part time tour guide.  A ride or two into Douglas for a bite and rides to/from viewing spots.
Grateful for any and all help.
Niko

Hi, welcome to the forum!
Afraid I don't know anything about rental vehicles, but the Public Transport is great, at least in the larger places!
You've probably found it already, but here's a link to the bus timetable & map -

Sounds like an epic journey you're making!
Where are you coming from & how long is it going to take you?

I have found car rental during TT really expensive in the past.
If we dont take our bikes over for some reason we always use the IOM Buses. The buses are really great and extra services are laid on.
Go on the electric railway to the mountain or Ramsey.
Take the steam train to Port Erin.
There are also plenty of great taxi drivers who are also very friendly.

Thanks for chiming in.  We are not coming from that far...just Greece.  But between the ferry schedules and flight prices and time schedules, it was more cumbersome than i expected (Thesaloniki, Dublin, IOM, Heysham, Manchester, Athens, Thessaloniki).  Anyways, I am sure it will be well worth it.  Will probably end up busing/cubing and I am sure it will be fine.  Thanks again.
Cheers
Niko
