MANX GRAND PRIX FESTIVAL TO BENEFIT FROM OFFICIAL HOSPITALITY PROGRAMME
[Image: mgpfestivalsmall.gif]

Following the success of the TT Races hospitality programme, where the capacity has been increased this year to cope with the demand for tickets, The Department of Economic Development is launching an official Manx Grand Prix Festival VIP Club.

The 'MGPF VIP Club' Hospitality Package gives guests all day access to the Hospitality Suite. This includes a complimentary bar open during licensing hours, breakfast served until 10am and a gourmet hot and cold buffet lunch prepared by first class chefs. Tickets can be purchased individually or booked as tables of eight.

The package also offers reserved grandstand seating; access to the Manx Grand Prix paddock including the Classic GP Paddock exclusive rider appearances and race day competitions with money can't buy prizes. Guests will also receive a special souvenir gift pack that includes official merchandise, the official Manx Grand Prix Festival Programme and a Race Guide.

The 2011 MGPF VIP packages are now available direct from Regency Travel, the Official Manx Grand Prix Festival Travel Partner. Race goers can buy 'Hospitality Only' tickets as well as 'VIP travel and Accommodation.'

The 'MGPF Club Hospitality only' packages are priced at £175 plus VAT per guest. The ticket grants exclusive access to the MGPF VIP Club where people can entertain their friends and corporate guests at the heart of the World's premier Classic motorcycle race. The VIP Club will be located in the centre of the Manx Grand Prix Festival paddock and has capacity for 150 guests.

VIP guests are also treated to seeing many of the leading riders from each race in the hospitality area shortly after each race as well as hearing their thoughts. There will also be a VIP guest speaker on each of the race days and TT legend Graeme Crosby, the 3-time TT champion, has already been confirmed to appear this year. This supremely talented rider also holds the distinction of winning the Daytona 200, Suzuka 8 hours and the Imola 200 and he finished second overall in the 500cc World Championship in 1982.

The Hon Allan Bell, MHK, Minister, Department of Economic Development commented:

"The Motorsport team has done a huge amount of work in developing the whole Manx Grand Prix Festival experience and the corporate hospitality packages will offer a great deal for fans who want to get close to the action at this popular even. It is also an important part of our commercial plans for the event and it will allow us to create more value and platforms for potential commercial partners."

The Hospitality packages are available for three race days at the 2011 Manx Grand Prix Races - Monday 29th August, Wednesday 31st August and the final race day, Friday 2nd September, featuring the climax of the festival including the Classic Superbike and MGP Senior races.

You can reserve your place in the MGPF VIP Club now by calling +44 1624 694456 or email sales@regencytravelholidays.com

Wave goodbye to what used to be called "The Friendly Races".

Corporate Entertainment and Commercialism Rule OK.

Very sad - I'm glad I rode the Manx when it was purely and simply FUN.

Can anyone tell me if you can access the paddock then just for a look or walk about without paying ? or is that not possible.
Mulling over a few options this coming season n just wondered ...

I certainly hope so, I would expect access to the paddock to be 'open', after all you can still do that at the TT.

I'm a bit confused here too. I think ..access to the paddock... needs to be clarified. Previously I thought you could wander almost anywhere except pit lane at the Manx. What areas are now going to be restricted?

I would not be surprised to find that no areas other than Pit Lane will be restricted, provided that you pay the chisellers money for a pass.

Like it or not the money to run the event must be raised from somewhere. If there wasnt 'other' money coming in would the competitor be able to cover the entry/insurance costs personally, I doubt it.

Its a shame things have come to this but if the event is to survive decisions need to be made.

Dont know if I agree or not, but if it promotes, progresses and assists in the finances of the MGP surely we must support it!
I was there many times a few years ago, returned in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. SUPPORT THE MGP
