Ben Wilson and the Gearlink Kawasaki secured a double victory by heading off the challenges from Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship title rivals Alastair Seeley and Jack Kennedy in the second race of the weekend to remain at the top of the title standings.

Seeley had taken the lead on the opening lap from Wilson but the Gearlink Kawasaki rider soon hit the front of the field when he passed the Relentless Suzuki into Lodge. Wilson then held the lead despite Seeley and Kennedy piling on the pressure. Kennedy moved to second on the opening lap but Seeley was fighting back and in the eighth lap he was finally able to make it stick with a dive down the inside at Lodge.

Seeley was then shadowing Wilson and another move on the brakes into Lodge put the Relentless Suzuki rider at the front of the pack for the first time, however two laps later Wilson was back and forced his way through at Lodge. Seeley then found himself defending second place and Kennedy then moved ahead with a determined move down the inside at Shell Oils Corner.

A few laps later though Seeley was back in second and as Wilson edged a slight advantage the scrap for second intensified. On the final lap Seeley held the advantage but Kennedy moved ahead at Shell Oils Corner only for the Relentless Suzuki rider to make a last lap manoeuvre at Lodge to take second and stay ahead on the drag to the line.

Luke Mossey maintained his fourth place ahead of Billy McConnell in fifth with Paul Young in sixth. It was disappointment for Steve Plater on the Padgetts Honda who crashed out at Druids.
