Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship

Tristan Palmer powered in his third victory of the season to take over the lead in the title stakes in an incident packed affair, red-flagged by a multi-rider crash at the first corner, and then ended three laps prematurely by light rain.

The crash on the opening lap caused John McGuinness, Connor Cummins, Leon Hunt and Billy Mellor and Jason O'Halloran to not make the restart. O'Halloran was taken to the Queen Mary Hospital in Dunfermline for further examination.

Palmer had taken the initiative from the start, leading the opening lap on his GBMoto Honda and then holding position despite fierce challenges coming in. Danny Buchan ran second for the first dozen laps before Richard Cooper who had carved through from fifth in the early stages snatched second place.

Buchan had to settle for third, barely a quarter of a second down on Cooper, while Adam Jenkinson took fourth from Howie Mainwaring and Joe Burns.

Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship

Keith Farmer made it four straight victories as he charged his Yamaha to victory, leading throughout as he headed off with ease the challenges of MWR Kawasaki riding Glen Irwin to take the flag some 3.57secs clear.

Cody Nally took third place on his Kawasaki with Tom Young who was having the better of the exchanges of a scrap for fourth place on his AIR Kawasaki with Deane Brown who had to settle for fifth on the Colin Appleyard Macadam Yamaha.

Sunoco British 125GP Championship

Kyle Ryde took the victory in a dramatic incident packed affair, inheriting the lead on the final lap when Andrew Reid was sidelined by a machine problem. Joe Irving took second place ahead of Luke Hedger as ACU Academy Cup riders took all of the podium positions.

Rob Guiver had been leading after four laps but the action was red-flagged after a two rider tangle at the Hairpin.

On the re-start Guiver was again in the hunt, aiming for a victory to tighten his grip on the title stakes, together with Reid only for Guiver to tip off. Reid had the initiative but with the flag in sight but his Team Aztec GP bike ground to a halt.

Ryde went through taking the victory ahead of his teenage rivals Irving, Hedger, Tarran Mackenzie, Wayne Ryan and Chrissy Rouse.

Eastern Airways British Sidecar Championship

Race 1:

Tim Reeves and Gregory Cluze continued their winning spree in the Eastern Airways British Sidecar Championship in the damp of Knockhill to tighten their grip on the crown.

They were leading when the race was stopped as the pursuing outfit in the hands of Barry James and Jamie Winn flipped over - the passenger was thrown clear but the driver was trapped under the LCR Suzuki, but fortunately escaped injury.

On the re-start, over eight laps Reeves and Cluze dictated terms from the front, leading throughout as they headed off the Scott Lawrie-James Neave to take the victory by some 2.435secs with Phil Bell-Ashley Hawes who had moved into third place on the second lap at the expense of Andy Peach-Charlie Richardson holding on to that position.

Peach came under fire from Ben Bygrave-Calum Lawson and had to settle for fifth place.

Race 2:

Tim Reeves and Gregory Cluze completed a comfortable double to tighten their grip on the title as they won Sunday's race by three seconds from Phil Bell and Ashley Hawes with Andy Peach/Charlie Richardson taking third a further six seconds back.

The race was red-flagged with the leader just starting lap 14 when Barry James and Jamie Winn lost control going into Leslies with their outfit spinning off the track onto the grass and mud, then flipping over.

In an incident similar to the one that had stopped Saturday's race, Winn was thrown clear but James was briefly trapped underneath - both escaped injury.
