Smith fit to race final round - Generali Grand Prix of the Comunitat of Valencia

Bradley Smith will be fit to ride in the final round of the Moto2 World Championship in the Generali Grand Prix of the Comunitat of Valencia in Spain on Sunday.

The 20 year old Oxfordshire rider suffered a cracked left collarbone and bruised lung when he crashed the Tech3 machine on the first lap of practice for the previous round in Malaysia when warning flags about the wet track where not shown. He missed the race in Malaysia but despite some pain and discomfort will ride in Valencia where he won the 125 cc race last year.

“I’ve got the ok to ride but I will have to man up when I get to Valencia because there is going to be plenty of pain and discomfort. We will strap up the collarbone for maximum comfort and mobility. I won the 125 cc race there last year and I’m so pleased I can ride because I’ve been really motivated to get back out there and race ever since the crash in Malaysia.”
