Improverments To Olivers Mount Circuit

The Auto 66 Club’s commitment to future road racing at the world famous Oliver’s Mount Circuit in Scarborough continues as improvements are made both on and off the 2.43-mile North Yorkshire venue.

The new tarmac on Quarry Hill and Drury’s down the hill laid prior to the Gold Cup meeting did not come up to standard, so it has been completely resurfaced in readiness for the 2012 road racing season.

Also around the course a number of Marshals points have been redesigned and made of stronger material which is hoped will improve the safety for marshals.

More improvements have been made in the paddock with additional electrical hook-up points, and an extension to the Paddock Diner to cater for increased demand of the home made meals now on the menu.

A waste oil deposit tank has been installed close to the Technical Inspection Bay.

Other work is likely to take place before the 2012 season gets underway, the first event being the Ian Watson Spring Cup Road Races on Sunday 15th April 2012.
