The Splitlath Redmond team is heading to the world’s biggest motorsport garden party this weekend as it takes part in the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed.

MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship rider John Laverty and team co-owner Derek Redmond will both take part in the historic event, running the 1.16-mile Goodwood hillclimb on a pair of the team’s Aprilia RSV4 machines.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a unique summer weekend held each year which brings together a heady mix of motorsport stars from the worlds of four and two-wheel racing across three days in the grounds of Goodwood House in West Sussex.

Entry is by invitation only, and Derek Redmond says he was thrilled to be asked.

“The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the only event of its kind in the world, so to be invited to take part was fantastic for the Splitlath Redmond team.

“Just to have the opportunity to appear on the same programme as some of the amazing stars heading there this year is incredible for us.

“We are honoured to have been asked and myself and John Laverty are really looking forward to getting out there and giving the crowds a great demonstration of our Aprilia RSV4 machines.”
