Re: where is best to camp
It depends on what sort of TT you want to have:-

1. Mad bad and very dangerous (my prefered option)

2. Sane tame and very boring ( why?)

Re: where is best to camp
Yes I agree, Sulby is a great place.
And the Sulby Hotel is walking distance for
a beer or two, and certainly excellent food
and good company of Rosie Sayle and the gang !
My German friends stay there every year and
all their camping gear on their bikes including
cooking gear and tables/chairs, and I'm not joking
I do have photo to prove them loaded up !
And yes all the way from Germany !
Also not far away many great spots to spectate.

Re: where is best to camp
Doh!

Dont go telling the whole world about Sulby!!
Now repeat after me...
Its awful!!

I have to say that one of the reasons that it
is SO good is the way that Rosie and the gang run
the Sulby Glen. Not to mention the Bushys Export!
I have said before in here.
If I am feeling low, I imagine standing, beer in
hand in the subshine (or maybe rain!) outside
the front door of the Sulby Glen, waiting for the first bike in the fisrt practice session.
Seeing the Scouse marshall with his BMW again.
Seeing familiar faces.
Oh, and the crazy but wonderful Germans!
Roll on!!!
