Daijiro Kato has, sadly, lost his fight for life in a hospital in Japan today. The 27 year old former 250 world champion leaves a wife and two children.
Another star lost, and in an accident that seems to have no explanation.

Just reading an update of his condition earlier
which suggested he may be improving.
Now I read he's lost his life, another very talented rider gone, RIP.
What a terrible start to the year so far.
My thoughts with family and friends.

Daijiro Kato is survived by his wife Makiko, his son Ikko and his as yet unnamed daughter.

Very , very sad news on the easter-morning. Another good rider has lost his life for his sport. My deepest condolences to his wife and his children.
