Michael Dunlop to Yamaha?

Michael Dunlop could be ready to make a sensational to switch from Honda to Yamaha according to an exclusive story in his hometown newspaper.

In a Honda-Dunlop link-up similar to the one his late uncle Joey had with the Japanese manufacturer for almost 20 years, Michael enjoyed a highly successful TT with four wins, plus further successes at the Ulster GP and Southern 100.

Ian Hutchinson recently announced his comeback with Shaun Muir’s Milwaukee Yamaha outfit, replacing Ramsey’s Conor Cummins who is likely to confirm a new team very shortly. If the latest story is correct, Michael could now well replace his brother William in the factory Yamaha-backed team.

Ballymoney Times reveals that Michael Dunlop is considering a big-money switch to Milwaukee Yamaha rather than staying at Honda for a second season, while William is set to revive his association with Chris Dowd’s CD Racing outfit for the new campaign.
